Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Last night we celebrated with a festive feast from the amazing Privateer Jerky. These guys (hence the name) are renowned for their flavour-packed homemade jerky, however the way they ran the kitchen last night made us question if we had a full-blown catering company in for the evening, they were flawless.
Three gorgeous courses graced the tables yesterday evening; a starter of black bean dip and salty nachos, the main feast of turkey (or an amazing alternative mushroom dish for veggies) accompanied by sweet potatoes, creamy mash and green beans as well as a few other classics. The main course went down a storm and left everyone feeling content and full, although it wasn't long until people were hankering for their dessert of pecan pie with clotted cream of course, and they were not disappointed. The pie was as sweet and gooey, as it was pleasing to the eye and it really got our pudding senses tingling.
The chatter and great atmosphere lingered on late into the night, with everyone excitedly talking about the food on their plates, the evening that had ensued and the festive month of advent that is to come.
