Last night we hosted the first Poppadum (all vegetarian) pop up, cooked entirely by the curry goddess that is Sarah Malcolm.
The evening kicked off with Prosecco and laughter (it also happened to be one of our favourite locals' birthday) and carried on in a similar fashion. First up was the delightful starter of Hara Bara kebabs with burnt lime raita which went down a storm and was gone before you could say 'Hara Bara' a little indicator of it's deliciousness.
The main feast consisted of dahls, sweet potato vindaloo. paneer and peanut butter masala, to name a few. with cashew fudge and an array of authentic sweets for dessert.
The only thing more exquisite than the flavours of each dish were the colours of them altogether on the plate. Sarah's use of fresh ingredients and the perfect balance of authentic spices made for beautiful dishes both to the eyes (and more importantly) your tastebuds.
