If you hadn't guessed already, we're pretty mad about our coffee here at The Stores - which is why we aim to give you the perfect drink, every time. That means we really need to know our stuff - from the milk, right down to the bean itself. We've had multiple training sessions, milk experiments, tasting days and pouring competitions in a real attempt to practice and get the best coffee going. However, we'd be absolutely nowhere without our little coffee beans that are our starting point. Our passion for coffee and ambition to give you the best brew going is why we chose Extract.
Extract are Bristol based coffee roasters that have been in the game for nine years (though their beloved 60kg vintage drum roaster 'Betty' has been going since 1995) so over time have really gotten to know their stuff. They only roast ethically sourced beans from Central & South America, East Africa and occasionally Indonesia, locations that they believe produce the best coffee beans in the world. Everything down to their weekly roasting, to their grain-pro sacks ensure that quality is maintained throughout the whole process.
Another reason we love these guys is for their values; community, accessibility and education. Like the guys at Extract, we too believe that coffee, though enjoyed as a luxury product should be enjoyed by as many people as possible. We also think such a great thing should be common knowledge for all, which is why we aim to have our staff really totted up on the stuff, so that any confusion that comes with coffee (and there can be a lot, down to the names, flavours etc) can be solved by simply asking us.
